Sheryl Underwood is an American television host, comedian and performer famous for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl was born and raised within Little Rock. Sheryl has a turbulent family. She spent most her childhood looking after her sibling Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. As a child, her relationship with mother was rocky. Sheryl states that her mother had a time when she stabbed her father for getting too close. Sheryl became a member of the military shortly after graduating from the college. However, her love for comedy was always there. She became the first female winner of the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career in 1992 when she was a regular performer in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was host of Oh Drama! Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started being in The Talk as co-host. In addition, she has a fictional role on series such Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
