Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the owner and editor of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece she was able to move to England when she was 16 and was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the famed debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student who was elected to this position. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online voice portal that offered critical opinions on the politics. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to stand independently in the California recall vote to succeed then Governor Davis. Additionally she was the leader of the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her as 12th on their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. She was then made the President of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, a management consultant and journalist. They were very close to her father, but it was her relationship with her mother that formed her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities that are still highly regarded. at the age of 16 she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. She was a journalist television host, and a columnist after her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
