Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. Her role also includes being the founder of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England with her family at the age of 16. At Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. First foreign-born graduate to be elected president in the prestigious debate club The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the presidency. Her popularity as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice-portal that provided an honest assessment of the current political situation. Her fame helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their opinions on the news as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to stand as an independent candidate in the California recall election to replace the then governor Davis. In addition to this she also led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as one of the top women in media gaining 12th place on the list and in the same year Guardian listed her on the top 100 media list. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her president of that media group which included many then-existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. While she was very close to her father it was her relationship with her mother which shaped her character. In her early years, she displayed her leadership skills and is a household name. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. After her graduation, she worked as a critic columnist and television host. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She began to write books with his guidance for editing.
