Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978 was the son of Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. The father of Zoe Saldana is Dominican, and her mother Puerto Rican. Her mother is Puerto Rican and her father was Dominican. In 2010, she relocated along with her family to Dominican Republic where they spent the next 7 years. In the Dominican Republic, Zoe discovered a keen interest in performance dance and started her studies at the prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she studied ballet, as well as various other forms of dance.
