Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Her family was a middle class one in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. The mother of her children was a film buff and was able to instill the love of movies in her daughter. Paula took part in school co-curricular activities, and she was especially interested in acting. Paula loved acting with friends and was a part of school stage performances. She was a part of numerous productions at her high school Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a career. She was in at the University of Southern Cal's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. She received a 3-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. She began her career as a TV production assistant after completing this assignment. Then she began producing documentaries. However, she had always wanted to become an actress, although she was content in her present job. The path to acting began when she had an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's been in a variety of popular films and television programs.
